Looking back – Red Dog

A year ago today, I was in a bush plane flying over a beautiful, desolate arctic plain in northwestern Alaska on my way to the Red Dog mine port site where I would work on a Foss tug for two weeks and then make the three-week trip home. And I was listening to the most beautiful song that evoked the landscape so perfectly – listen to it if you have a moment. Some days I really miss working in Alaska.
